Scamming buyer
Buyer is claiming she didn't receive item and has been issued a refund. She has sent me an email to say she has already received it. eBay has closed the case in her favor by refunding her money. What to do?

Mentor1 year agoHi @sendings
In this case it's a good idea to request a call back from eBay support, especially since the buyer admitted to receiving the item.
Request a call back:
https://www.ebay.com/help/eua?id=5275
Calls are available daily between 5 AM and 10 PM PT.
Have the buyer’s message ready (eBay agent will have option to review your communications/messages), they will see tracking info if it shows "Delivered."
Let the rep know the case was closed in the buyer’s favor despite their own message confirming receipt.
An eBay representative will review your communication and, if appropriate, either guide you through filing a buyer misuse report or reverse the refund.
Please let us know how it is finalized.

Mentor1 year agoOnce eBay has refunded the buyer the purchase is closed and eBay cannot do anything for either you or the buyer. You can ask the buyer if they want to pay you for the item or return the item. Keep in mind that by eBay rules the buyer does not have to do either and cannot be forced to do either. If the buyer wants to pay you then you will need to provide a way for the buyer to send you money. Many sellers will use either a PayPal invoice or a method like Venmo. If the buyer wants to return the item you need to purchase a return label and send it to them. You will need to purchase the label outside of eBay since you can no longer use an eBay shipping label.
