Scammers w/ Postage
OMG! Be sure to look at shipping costs PRIOR to thinking about a purchase or you could be in BIG trouble. I ran across a $20 shipping fee for a teeny tiny item that would cost $2 to ship. eBay does not do anything to protect purchasers!!!

The third USPS price increase this year went into effect on Sunday. A teeny-tiny item that weighs less than a pound now ships at the retail rate between $7.90 and $12.90 depending on how far your location is from the seller.
If you see a lower cost than that, it's because the seller is passing along a discount to you and absorbing the cost himself or building it into the item price.
I can't imagine any buyer making a purchase before knowing the shipping cost. That's why it's shown on the listing.

In some cases, a 4 ounce package can be up to $8.50 or more.
A nice thing about buying items on eBay is that the shipping is showing before you purchase. If the shipping is too high, you do not have to buy.
They protect buyers by showing the shipping cost to the buyer prior to any purchase.
Do I think some sellers overcharge a bit for shipping? Perhaps but I ignore them.
They will not be in business long if buyers would bypass the listings.
Shipping costs are out of control expensive. Sellers are not always trying to overcharge but I can understand how some buyers think it is too much.
The fact is, many sellers think shipping is expensive and out of line as well.
