Scammers
I am new here and just had an offer from a buyer and accepted it.
Fortunately, getting alerted when the buyer wrote a message with another name and asked me to update the mailing address due to the buyer staying at their sister's house. I researched the address and it came up as a known scamming address. I then canceled the order.
What makes me really frustrated is that I was unable to to report the fraud to eBay, and only could block the buyer's username and cancel the order.
Reporting it to the Federal Trade Commission and like agencies has never been anything but a waste of time for me.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get through and report this to eBay so other sellers and buyers can be warned?
Thanks.

Mentor8 months agoHow do you know that it was actually your buyer that wrote the message request the item be shipped elsewhere?
If the buyer that made the offer has paid, you follow through with the transaction and ship to the address provided by Ebay.
You can report the scammy message by going to the message and click on the 3 dots in the upper right of the message.
