I believe I have been seriously scammed in last 24 hours - offered federal grant related to covid 19 and he has used 800 in GC s from me . . . he is claiming this is from federal reserve bank from New York for a $12,000 grant. Having just gotten out of hospital with no insurance to pay for it, they are preying on desparate people like myself. I can't even believe this @federal reserve bank

Any time someone you do not know asks you to provide gift cards for any transaction, you can be sure you are dealing with a scammer. Legitimate transactions are not handled that way.
Gift cards are like cash. Once the money on a gift card has been spent, there is little recourse at that point.
