Scammer report
Is there any way to report a clear scammer on ebay that leads to ebay actually doing something to ban them from using the platform? Or is ebay just the wild wild west of online marketplaces, and you might get robbed at gunpoint if you arent paying attention, and the sheriff's in town are out at the saloon enjoying an afternoon sasparilla?

Buyers can use the money back guarantee if an item is not received or not as described.
Rights-owners can identify infringing listings and issue take-down notices, which eBay will act on.
Users can report suspicious listings, but unless a listing actually violates listing policy in an obvious way, eBay is unlikely to take action based on a report from a single user that might be a competing seller.

eBay can end listings and close accounts, but determined scammers are rarely stopped by that; they open new accounts under different names or hijack existing accounts and continue scamming. So buyers will always have to be on the lookout for new sellers suddenly selling items that are "too good to be true" and will have to take appropriate steps to protect themselves, such as by choosing to only do business with sellers that have a proven history of delivering what was described, or else be prepared to invoke eBay's money back guarantee in the time allowed.

OP4 months agoYeah, but you can understand why that process is complete **bleep**, right? Like I bought something from a seller, and they set tge ship date too late June. So I have to wait a month for no tracking to be provided, no item delivered, just to get my money back thats been spent already? If I know Im not getting the item, I know the seller never intends to provide tracking, shouldn't ebay step in, request the order shipping proof, and if none is provided by the seller, shouldn't I have my money refunded then? Not a month from now, because ebay couldnt be bothered?

Mentor4 months agoSellers can have a handling time from between one day and up to 40 days. When you look at the listing the estimated delivery date will include the handling time. If a sellers handling time is over three days the shipping section of the listing (page 2) will give you the sellers handling time.
