I would have waited the 4 days and cancelled on the 5th day for Buyer didn't pay. That would record a defect on the buyer's account. 2 of those and he will find it difficult to bid/buy from most sellers who block buyers with 2 or more unpaid transactions. That block will last for 12 months.

Mentor2 years agoSo happy you didn't fall for this. Many new sellers do. As a new seller, you will run across people trying to take advantage of you, just like this. Mentor2 years agoIf you use a desktop browser, every eBay item listing has a "report item" link in the body of the description on the right side.
You can report messages using a desktop browser if you use the older "classic" message format from the message page under the "Action" menu.

OP2 years agoIt is a buyer. They want to complete sale outside of eBay, as well as include a 300$ gift card with the item. I smell scam
