Scammed on eBay
Did anyone else get scammed by the survey here on eBay concerning electronics? It gave you a choice of a Samsung phone or an iPad and all you had to pay was shipping. I chose the iPad and paid $7.95. I received a confirmation email stating I was receiving an iPad. Within a minute I received an email from these same people with links to three ebooks in pdf form. It seems I paid them for ebooks that I do not even want! There were even reviews on the eBay homepage from people who had received their phone or iPad. It seems you can't trust anything on the internet!

Mentor2 years agoBeware scam ads. Just because an ad appears on a site does not mean the site has approved the ad, or checked it out in any way.
Any time someone wants to give you a valuable gift for filling out a three-question multiple choice survey, but then asks you for a credit card number to pay for "handling", you should probably assume it is a scam to obtain your credit card information and to steal from you.
Many ads are placed by third party services that do not always screen them adequately. In addition, some forms of adware or malware can inject ads onto other sites, so you should never assume that just because an ad appears on a site's page that the ad has been approved or screened by the site.
