Scammed on a return that waS MAILED TO WRONG ADDRESS

Buyer had only been Ebay for 1 week - Zero transactions -had item mailed to a different name and address than Ebay member - requested a return (after 3 weeks claiming the item was damaged) but would consider a partial refund, I agreed to the partial refund, never got a response so after 3 days Ebay sent the refund on my behalf - the item was return shipped and shown as delivered - THE ITEM WAS (or something) SENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS ACROSS TOWN!!!!!! Since it was delivered Ebay refunded the money - I checked with USPS and the package was delivered to the address on the box. Was NOT my address!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am out the money and the item. I got NOTHING and Ebay's Policies allowed it to happen. I never approved a refund. What do I Do? Tried calling Ebay and all got was AI runaround. I would like to talk with a real person at the Resolution Center. Does anyone have a phone number that goes to a real person at Ebay?

I wanted to clarify a statement in your post.
You said your Buyer wanted their item shipped to a different address. Can you please confirm that you sent the item to a different address than in the Order Details? Thank you. I am asking because if the Buyer's address was changed, it's possible you may have lost your Seller Protections.

OP6 days agoThe item was mailed with the address and shipping label purchased through Ebay. I noticed the name and address weren't the same. I messaged the purchaser to verify that was correct and they replied it was. I was suspicious that this was scam and I was right. How did the return shipping label address get changed? I suspect the package that was mailed didn't contain the item I sold them. They just sent a box to be delivered so the refund would be issued.
