Scammed by seller

Question

This seller (in China) sold me counterfeit bracelets -- before I bought the items, he assured me via an eBay message that the bracelets were 18K gold. I was scammed! And now he doesn't want to reimburse me for the full amount I paid.

I have contacted eBay, but have not received much assistance.

My suggestion to people in the US who find eBay items they may like but come from Asia is to look for the same or similar items from local sellers; this may save you a lot of headaches caused by scammers like this seller.

If eBay does not seriously intervene soon, I will write and publish a PressWire about this scam. I am serious!!!!

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to open an “item not as described case”. This overrides the sellers return policy. Go to your Purchase History and find the item. Then under “More actions” click on “Return item” and then select the reason for the return as “doesn't match description". It may ask you to attach a photo so the seller and eBay can see what was received. The seller will need to send you a prepaid return label and once the item is returned they have three days to refund you. After this time has passed you would have to go to your payment source to see what help they can give.
