Scammed by seller
I got scammed by a seller from Florida.
He claimed a Yamaha 200hp outboard crankshaft was within factory specifications and in good working condition, so I agreed to buy it. The item had international shipping costing over $800, and I also paid additional shipping from the U.S. to my country from my own pocket.
The seller stated no returns accepted. After receiving the crankshaft, an authorized Yamaha dealership inspected it and confirmed that 2 of the 3 main journals are damaged and bent.
I opened a refund case, but the seller used a trick by requesting that I return the item to the USA at my own cost, to force me to accept the loss and close the case against him.
I’ve tried contacting eBay, but the only option is “call me,†and I never receive a call. There is no live chat available, and I don’t know what to do next as I cannot reach eBay support.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.
