Scammed, and having to pay for a item I SOLD, Buyer got REFUNDED, AndGOT TO KEEP MY BELONGINGS
I sold a motorized chair that had the ability to climb up stairs. The chair brand new costs about 1,050 and I sold it for $450. When I sold it there was nothing wrong with it, but when the buyer received it he said it was damaged and broke, when it wasn't when It left here. So I offered a partial refund and he denied it. So I asked eBay to step in because I sold the item working and nothing wrong with it, and he wanted a return, and they gave him a full refund and still has my motorized chair! eBay **bleep**ed me good. Then on top of it all not only did he get a full refund, kept the chair, I was charged 172 in selling fees! And there is no way for me to talk to a customer service agent or anything!

Mentor2 years agoNever ask ebay to step in if possible. You also don't know if it got damaged in shipping in which case you can file a claim with the carrier. Regardless, if you wanted the item back before refunding, you needed to accept the return.
Why were your selling fees so high, or are you including shipping cost?
Did you ask the buyer if he will still return the chair if you provide a return label?
In the future this type of item is best sold as pickup only.

When either a Buyer or Seller ask eBay to step in, it does not end well for the Seller. At this point, you can go on the eBay site and file an appeal.
You could also contact eBay for Business on Facebook to appeal. Please give the eBay Facebook staff time to respond. I'm sorry this is happening to you.
