Scamer buys my item then reported it as a fraudulent transfer to their bank
I recently sold a smartphone, and the transaction initially proceeded smoothly, with payment received and the device delivered. However, a few days after receiving the item, the buyer reported the transaction to their bank, resulting in a chargeback. Consequently, the buyer retained both the funds and the smartphone. Fortunately, eBay's seller protection policy covered me in this situation. I am now seeking to understand what further actions can be taken. Specifically, I am curious if eBay has a process to report the smartphone and have it blacklisted, or if this situation ultimately benefits the individual who engaged in the fraudulent activity.
