SCAM/ Stolen item

Question

So, I sold a item for $5700.00 dollars and the person picked it up from my house and paid on ebay but after he left he added shipping to it. Now he is saying he never got the item. I know I should have been more careful but what do I do now?

I'm sorry that happened.

The buyer can't add shipping afterwards.

If the buyer checked out and selected shipping, you should have shipped.

If the buyer checked out and selected local pickup, then there is the process as outlined by @stuff4divas that allows you to scan a code.
- the buyer gets the code if they pay and select local pickup.

Your options now are to involve the police and the FBI Internet Crime

1) File a written police report with your police department.

2) File an Internet Crime IC3.gov case https://www.ic3.gov/Home/ComplaintChoice

Your complaint is with the buyer. You have the buyer's name, address and phone number.
Do you have any video of the buyer?

You can call or visit your buyer (be careful) Perhaps the police will go with you.

By any chance did the person who picked up the silver contact you from another user name than the buyer?
