Scam sellers
Why doesn't eBay have a notification on sellers so buyers will be aware of their behavior in not buying from them? Two sellers within the last month for me makes me realize there is no protection from these sellers on eBay. Is that true? How does eBay control this type of situation?

Mentor8 months ago@skipperlee2014 I am sorry that you had bad buying experiences. The eBay Money Back Guarantee should apply in most all cases.
What type of scam did you experience? I might be able to offer advice on how to get your money back AND how to avoid this type of problem.

Mentor8 months ago@skipperlee2014 Getting refunds through eBay for return to sender are tricky. Since the policy states that if an item is returned to the sender due a problem with the buyers address (buyer provided bad info) or the buyer refuses the package then that voids the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
Double check the address on your purchase history to make sure that it is correct in case your shipping info was changed> https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/purchase Select view order details. If your info IS correct and it's less than 30 days since the last estimated delivery date you can try filing a not received refund request case. You most likely will have to appeal it though> Appeal a case as a buyer
If that doesn't work then you will need to contact your funding source and file a charge back. ( note that once you go to your funding source eBay can no longer assist you so always file cases with eBay first)
For the item that just NEVER arrived did you file a not received refund request within 30 days of the date of delivery? >> https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/reporting-item-didnt-receive?id=4042
Then 4 business days after you file the case ask eBay to step in Help and if the seller has not refunded you.
As for safe shopping on eBay. Look for sellers that have a good selling history for similar items. Avoid deals that re too good to be true. Always check a sellers feedback page, not just the % of feedback. I high volume seller can have thousands of negatives and still be 99% positive feedback.
When checking sellers feedback page look at it on a computer, not the app, so that you can see what country they are located in, not where they claim to be shipping from. Sellers are not supposed to lie about the item location but it does unfortunately happen.
