Scam or not
I want to purchase a Scamp 16"travel trailer which is supose to be for sale through E-bay but I can't find it listed on eBay. I don't want to devluge my personal information unless I know that eBay is truly handling this sale. Please help me with this Problem. Enclosed is a partcial cut of the sellers messaage sent to me.
"we want to make this deal through eBay's Buyer Protection Program. The camper is in eBay custody at their shipping company sealed with all the papers (title signed by me, ownership, insurance papers etc). I want to use the eBay services for the safety of both of us and delivery. The financial part will be managed by them, which means that you will have a 5 days inspection period before committing to buy the camper. Using eBay Motors, we are both 100% covered during the steps of this transaction"

It’s a SCAM … and everything said in the message is a LIE.
eBay has nothing to do with items listed on offer websites. It doesn’t even ship vehicles listed on eBay. [The buyer usually visits the vehicle and drives it home after verifying that it’s exactly as described in the listing.]
