SCAM - One tracking number applied to two separate sold items
Recent purchase of a flashlight went weird.
First, the seller postponed shipping for over a week.
Second, seller did not attach tracking number until second week.
Third, Tracking info looked okay.
Fourth, notification of item delivery all look normal, however; item was Not delivered.
Fifth, opened case with USPS. They did check and did call me twice within 2 days.
Sixth, upon the second call I learned this is a scam where sellers attach a tracking number to my item after having already attached same tracking number to previous sale.
Seven, seems clever if the system does not check for unique numbers in the tracking number field.
Also, the seller had to wait until someone in my same small town to order a similar item.
USPS agent stated that the tracking number was someone else's address even though in my Ebay App all the information looked correct. Just late. Then of course the product never arrived.
Anyone else heard of this scam.
Do I under it correctly that EBAY allows non unique numbers in the tracking field.
