Scam delivery
Seller sent me a picture of my front door with a bag in front of it and said it was delivered. I checked Fed Ex and it was not. What do I do now?

Are you sure it was your front door? Look again. A couple of months ago, FedEx claimed to have delivered an item to me, with a photo as "proof" and it was not my front door. Definitely not: white guardrail around porch but mine is black, tree in front yard but I don't have a tree in my yard, a few other discrepancies. Plus, the package in the photo was not on my porch.
I called FedEx and it was the second-most frustrating experience of my life. So I went to the local office in person. After being referred to a daisy chain of different offices, wasting all morning and half a tank of gas, I finally found one who gave me the location of the corporate offices in Omaha.
I live near Omaha, so I went there and got to speak to a P&D Manager, and she gave me a signed statement on letterhead stationery that said "The following tracking number ** does not match the address at [my address]".
My understanding is that both PayPal and my credit card customer service have become more receptive to false tracking scams now. If there's a next time, I'll present the problem to them and try to get resolution. That will be the last time I try to follow the process. If it doesn't work, then if there's a third time, I'm just going to open a not as described dispute.

-Was it a high value item?
-Did you check the tracking history of that item in your Purchase history?
-If tracking does NOT show it was delivered and it is now past the original estiamted delivery date here is what we provide Buyers:
Really sorry that happened ... the date you want to keep an eye on is the original estimated delivery date. One day past that is when you can process a claim.
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the latest estimated delivery date: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
You can file a claim via the item in your Purchase History that you did not receive your item one day past the original estimated delivery date and up to 30 days after that. Follow the steps in the claim and they will lead to an eventual refund.
You can report a Seller here: Online Customer Service - Report an issue with a seller
If on the other hand tracking shows delivered but you do not have the package it gets a bit more complicated and the following is what is often shared with Buyers:
Unfortunately, you have fallen prey to the False tracking number scam. You filed a claim through eBay that you did not receive the item but since tracking showed it was delivered, they ruled against you.
You need to get a document from the Carrier stating that the package was not delivered to your address and then contact eBay with that information to prove delivery confirmation was to a different address than yours. Make sure you tell eBay it was a False tracking number scam.
