Why is it, that every time I sell my paintball gun, the buyer waits a week to tell me that eBay won’t let them pay for some odd reason. Why the hell would eBay let people bid on something they can’t pay for? This has happened twice and I’m also not very happy that the only “real†customer support is a public forum

Mentor3 years agoYou are a new seller, prime target for scamming. Many scammers will say they have paid you via PayPal and will send a fake receipt, hoping you will ship without being paid. Here is what you need to do. After 4 days of non-payment, you can cancel the transaction with the reason buyer did not pay. This gives the 'buyer' a strike; 2 of those in a year will keep them from bidding/making offers. You can then block them.
Until you have some feedback and experience, you will keep running into this. You can list the item as fixed price and check the box requiring immediate payment.
