Scam
I need help! I ordered a book from a seller on eBay. When I tracked it it said it was delivered. It was delivered to a front desk it my home. I filed a complaint with PayPal and they went in the sellers favor because they provided a tracking number. I called ups and they said the item was delivered to another name in another state. What can I do. eBay won’t help me now because I opened the case with PayPal. I’m an old woman and my money is tight. How did eBay let this ?

Mentor1 year agoSorry this happened to you. Unfortunately by eBay's rules once you went to the payment source (in this case PayPal) eBay no longer handles the claim. Any appeal must be to PayPal. The seller won since they had tracking which showed delivery. You need to know that if the tracking shows the item was delivered to your zip code (first three digits) then it is considered as delivered to you. The shipping carrier would be responsible for any miss delivery of the package.
You can ask the shipper for the GPS coordinates of the delivery and the address on the shipping label. If the address on the label was yours then the shipper made a mistake. If the address is not yours then you can use this for an appeal. You would need the shipper to provide on their letterhead the actual address that was on the shipping label to win the appeal.

OP1 year agothank you for your response. Unfortunately when I reached out to the seller he had closed his account. PayPal reopened the case and I’ve contacted my bank. It’s sad that EBay lets this happen. I know I’m not the only person that this has happened to. I won’t be buying anything ever again from eBay.
