Scam
I received an email that is from ebay about a particular item that I wanted to buy and I actually found it on fb marketplace and now I'm starting to wonder if it's a scam or not how to I check the legitimacy of it

Ebay has nothing to do with Facebook Marketplace.
It's a SCAM.

Only items displayed on eBay are legitimately for sale on eBay.
