Question

is anyone else having this type of issue with saved searches? i am getting many items on a saved search that has nothing to do with my original search, there might be 20-50 searches to go thru before i actually find one that fits my search. help please

Try creating a new search. Avoid using "Best match" sort order, as that sort order often returns many more unrelated results compared to other sort orders. Make sure you use enough relevant keywords to narrow your search, that you are grouping keywords with dashes between them if you only want to see those keywords in that order, that your search is limited to the category you want, and that you are choosing appropriate category-specific filter options.

If that works better, then save the new search and possibly unsave the old one.

Sometimes eBay changes how categories are organized, or which keywords point to which category, or what other keywords can be substituted for each other in a search. Sometimes sellers include unrelated keywords in the item-specifics so that their listings appear in the maximum number of searches. As a result, a search that has worked well in the past stops working as well and may need to be redone to be most effective.
