sales tax on shipping in IL
Anyone have success disputing sales tax collected incorrectly? IL does not tax for shipping quoted separately or if not required if an item is picked up. I bought an eBay item that had a $404 freight fee to ship it 650 miles away and it was determined only after the auction win based on my location and stated separately. It is bad enough IL charges me 10% sales tax but I shouldn't have to pay another $40.40 in tax on the shipping.
