Sales tax on services
I live in Michigan and working with someone in IL to have my iPod classic serviced. Opened it up and reconnect a cable ... that's it. No parts are involved. In our state services are not taxed but when proceeding Ebay is trying to charge me tax.
Alternatively, is there some way I can contact Ebay?

·3 years agoEBay collects sales tax based on what your state tells them to. Often when there a sales tax mistake it is because the item was listed in the wrong category.
