Sales Tax on Movie Passes!
I sold movie passes recently and Sales Tax has never been charged.
Today I sold movie passes and ebay decided to charge Sales Tax!
I was unable to reach anyone through Customer Servixe, there is never a “Supervisor†available and I fot tired of waiting on hold, I know that no one will call me back because I have tried that
many times before.
i requested the isdue be elevated and to transfer me to any other department besides Customer Service (an oxymoron, by the way.
How can I get the message to someone of consequence who will take the issue seriously?
I absolutely refuse to pay fees on sales tax that should not be charged in the first place, and I don’t want my buyers to be illegally charged Sales Tax!
If you have anway for me to get the message to someone at ebay who will actually follow theough, please let me know.
If not, does anyone know of a Government or Watch Dog Agency to whom I can report eBay?

Mentor3 years agoJust to add - the category is generally used to determine of an item is taxable. You listed the tickets/passes under collectibles. Collectibles are always going to be taxable. Tickets belong under tickets. The last ones you sold you listed under gift cards.

Mentor3 years agoeBay collects sales tax based on the tax laws of the state the item is shipped to. Sales tax is indeed charged on movie passes in many states.
