Sales tax charged on an iotem less than $100 in CT
Why was I charged sales tax from a seller in MO on a coat I purchased for $68 and shipped to CT, where there is no tax on clothing less than $100. The seller told me this is an EBAY issue and contact them. ??? How do I contact ebay? I just get into an AI hat when I clicvk on "contact us." Thanks all.

Whether sales tax is collected depends on the buyer's shipping address, the law in the state, and the category the item is listed under. A non-taxable item listed in a taxable category may be subject to sales tax. For instance, clothing listed in a Sports or Collectible category may be taxable.
