Sales tax
I was preparing an offer earlier and was calculating it to be an even dollar amount, and realized that while my locales sales tax is 6%, yet ebay was calculating it at 10.9%. Is this usual?

Mentor1 year agoIt might be usual for your locale. What is your state?
More than half of the 50 United States impose sales taxes on the price of shipping/mailing in addition to the price of the item.

OP11 months agoThank you, that is not something I considered. I'm pretty sure we don't tax services here, but that would probably explain it.
