Why was I charged sales tax on two silver purchases completed on 7/13/25?
Wisconsin is a tax exempt state on gold and silver purchases.
Wisconsin was charging tax on gold and silver purchases but the tax was removed. After the tax was removed eBay stopped collecting sales tax. My last previous silver purchase was on Oct 1, 2024 and eBay did not charge sales tax.
The seller said the tax was added by eBay and didn’t know why I was being charged.
