So i bought a shirt for .01 (1 cent) 8.95 shipping and they charged .89 cents tax....didn't know there was tax on postage?? huh y?

It is the laws of the state the item is being shipped to that determines whether shipping cost is taxed. It’s not an eBay decision.
Some states tax shipping. Others don’t.
