Sale of a car
I sold a car on a 10 day auction, it met its reserve on about day 3, then on about day 5 a new bidder bid on it and ended up winning the auction. I didn’t receive any communication from the buyer after the auction was over. I waited several hours and contacted them with no response. I waited another day and contacted them again with no response till day 3. They responded and said they had property taxes come up due and so they would not be buying the car after all. eBay says I can’t cancel the order till 4 days have passed, then I could send out 2nd chance offers. I just got a notification that the buyer is now requesting the order be canceled. If I approve it, I get to relist for free, but I lose the ability to send 2nd chance offers and the deadbeat bidder gets off Scott free with no dings on his account. What do I do?
