Run a report for the actual amounts paid for shipping labels for all transactions in 2023
The only thing I cant seem to find to do my taxes for last year was the actual amount paid for shipping labels. I use eBay for all my labels. Just need to run a report for each transaction and how much was actually paid. not my advertised flat rate charge.

You can run a transaction report selecting only shipping labels as the transaction type. This will give you the details.
Then run the financial overview report in pdf form - that will give you the total.

OP2 years agoI tried that, but something doesn't add up. I did 84 transactions last year and when I run that report only 23 transactions show up. Not sure what's going on. I ran this report thru the Payments section of the Seller Hub. Do I need to do it another place?

If you paid for some of your labels through PayPal, they won’t show up in your payment account transactions. You can go to PayPal and run an activity report there for those labels. If paid from pending funds, they should show up on the transaction report.
You can use the sales performance report to get a total for labels - that report picks up all of your labels purchased through eBay, no matter how you funded them. The label total is in the selling cost section. This report does not give you each label cost by item - the label and fees are grouped together by item as selling costs. https://www.ebay.com/sh/performance/sales

OP2 years agoI bought 100% of my labels thru eBay. many parts were shipped USPS others UPS and Fedex. After looking closely I see only my UPS labels show up on reports. Wonder why the USPS ones don't show. The data has to be there. Be nice to run the report to show every label that eBay generated. if you go to each transaction on your seller history the info is there.

OP2 years agoFound the report. On the Performance and Sales page you have to compare 2023 to another year. That prompts the sorting engine. Then all the way at the bottom is a section called "Listings Insights" If you download the report from that it gives you every labels actual cost for every transaction. That's the report to have.

Great - I didn't realize that it broke out the label vs fees if you download the report. Thanks for the info!
