Rotten Seller
I'm writing this to vent my frustrations with a sleazy seller who used the make an offer format but should have used BIN because he had no intention of accepting my offer. It wasn't a low ball offer either, it was $6 lower than the $70 BIN price. I probably would have just paid the BIN price, but he was the one that acted like he would accept offers. So I waited 24 hours and heard nothing from him, after 24 hours I withdrew my offer, still nothing from the seller. I messaged him about it and he threatened to block me. If a buyer has a complaint maybe the underhanded seller should listen. I know he was within ebays rules, but I don't want to hear about that, it's like saying dropping napalm on women and children was within the rules of civilized behavior. I felt like I was **bleep** by a gorilla. I just think it is a sleazy practice, then the greedy swine relisted the item. I get a lot of offers in my email for a reduced price on items I'm interested in, but not from this slob.

OP9 months agoHi, I did read about that in a forum a few days ago. I know I overreacted, but I was only guilty of making a fair offer, we all like deals I think. I try to treat people like human beings, but sometimes I wonder about the "humans", they are the worst. I liked the use of your description prickly with an emphasis on "prick". I just want a smooth transaction, I should just buy on Amazon with no hassles or drama and they deliver in one or two days, not weeks.

You might not be aware, but eBay has a habit of adding the Offer feature to a seller's listing, when the seller didn't want it and doesn't know how to delete it. Some sellers resent the encroachment and don't accept it good-naturedly. The seller you refer to could have been prickly about unwanted offers, and was less than discrete in his reaction to you, in particular his reaction to your message and/or the tone of that message. For $6 . . . maybe there were overreactions on both sides.
