Ripped Off by Buyers
Several years ago, I was a regular seller on eBay but quit after several customers ripped me off. I sold high end wigs at the time and always required a signature on delivery as proof that my packages were delivered. I had several customers who just scribbled an illegible signature when they signed for their package and then claimed that they didn't receive their item. Even though I had the original signed delivery cards from USPS, eBay sided with the customers and refunded their money, yanking it out of my account. After the third or fourth time that happened, I gave up my eBay business and stopped selling as a regular. I still occasionally sell items, but always just cheap, low-end stuff. Nothing high dollar. I have something more expensive to sell and am wondering what other sellers do to make sure that the customers can't rip them off by saying they didn't receive the item ... when they did and even signed for it. Do you use Registered mail?
