Ridiculously bad customer service access
Purchased two plates from same seller. Seller offered to combine shipping but then didn’t do so and charges me twice. Asked him/her to correct and they claim to have contacted EBay who will correct. I also tried to cancel shipping of both when I realized it, less than a couple hours after I saw they didn’t combine shipping and they declined cancel. I want a refund of my $9 shipping for one plate. How do I get them to do this??
their app is so sewed up with circular help text responses that I can’t even get to a human.

3. Answer the chat bots question by stating what you need help with.
4.Type AGENT ( you may have repeat steps 3 and 4)
5. Request a call back or live chat. (Note that the contact options vary depending on the topic and staffing availability)
Monday to Sunday 5:00 am to 09:30 pm PST
Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

OP8 months agoI am trying FB Messenger so far, and they have responded but all I've really learned is that the seller has initiated a refund of my extra shipping charge and to send the seller a helpful link. So far, nothing. I don't know for sure the seller is doing anyting to make this occur. I asked and they said Ebay said they'd take care of it. So they are pointing fingers at each other for now. I'll just reverse the charges on my CC when I get the items here. It's like $8 but it's a matter of principle now. The seller did combine the shipments so is so far just keeping the money. Seems like they do intend to refund it but either dont' know how, aren't really doing so and just saying they are, or have tried and it's somehow stuck with Ebay not helping No idea but I won't stop till they figure it out. Just not right to let me pay for this mistake.
