Revising staring bid. How can I change it now that there is a bid? Thanks
I thought I could change at the end nd I could not. Now there is a bid for $40 and I want at least $200. Thanks

Mentor2 years agoOnce there is a bid placed, you cannot make any changes. If you wanted at least $200 you should have started the auction at $200
There are 3 days remaining. I doubt the auction will increase to $200 in that amount of time. What you can do is Cancel the bid, and then End the listing. You will be charged a penalty equal to the highest proxy times the FVF. At one time, ebay would forgive the first cancellation per calendar year. I do not know if they still do this. After the cancellation, then use Sell Similar and relist the item starting at $200

Mentor2 years ago@stevbirc You need to always start your auctions at a price you will be happy with if you get just ONE bid, if you get more then that's great. Don't use reserve price as that's an optional upgrade fee of 7.5% that's due even if the item doesn't sell.
What you can do for this auction is end the listing NOW. You will have to pay the selling fee based on the highest bid. If this is the first time you did this then you can ask eBay if they will give you a courtesy fee refund or not.

Then you revise the listing with a starting price you would be happy with and relist.
