Returns to a seller and taxes
Hi,
When an item is returned to a seller and they receive a refund, does ebay refund to the seller the taxes they collected upon initial sale the same way a store refunds the taxes paid and is the legal way to handle the situation?

The seller refunds the item price and the shipping paid by the buyer. eBay refunds the sales tax. (Sales tax does not go to the seller. eBay collects it and remits it to the state where the package is shipped).
