I purchased a piece of tech and had through the 31st of August to return it. The item isn't to my liking, and so I want to return it, but when I try to do so, it says the return window is closed.
I'm panicking bc it seems like it's up to the seller to decide at this point whether to grant me my request, but it was my understanding that "through" meant the date included. I paid quite a lot of money for the item, and would very much like it back as I plan on using the funds spent to try a different route. I've already reached out to the seller, but I'm worried they won't respond in time or at all (although I suppose timing at this point is irrelevant). If they don't, am I completely screwed?

OP4 days agoThe seller has a return policy of 60 days, which ends today. I hadn't initiated the return yet bc I figured I have only a day to do so and wouldn't have had the time until today/this week.

Mentor4 days agoEbay's has a 30 day Money Back Guarantee... when that date has passed, you cannot file the Ebay return request.
ALSO, the reason "didn't like" is not covered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee.
If the seller has a 60 day return policy, you will need to work this out with the seller.

Mentor4 days agoAn item not to your liking may or may not be a reason to return the item. What is the sellers return policy. If they have a No Returns policy only certain specific reasons will allow a return.

It is not up to the Seller to extend the return window. That is set by eBay and eBay will automatically close the return if not shipped on time. The return label will no longer be valid.
Once a Buyer received a return label, they have 15-16 business days to return the item. Is there a reason it has not yet been returned?

The eBay 30-Day Money Back Guarantee only covers you for 30 days from delivery. If you were to try to open a return request on eBay beyond that, it would be denied. If the Seller is still open to accepting a return more than two months after the purchase, that is now between you and the Seller.
