Returns of an item bought as a guest

Question

I recently ordered what I thought was a 40v Ryobi battery with a charger included. I received only the charger, which is what the seller said his description was for. An email from the seller confirmed that only the charger was the item being sold. I would like to return it, but attempting to do so has been entirely frustrating; it seems that there is no person that you can talk to about a problem, and the seller is not enthusiastic about helping with a return. Purchases made as a guest are separate from purchases made as a registered member. You will need to sign in with the email address you used as a guest along with the PASSCODE that ebay sent to you in an email. Then you can file a Returns Request, or an Item Not Received case.

Guest purchases are not connected to your eBay account, so for help with a guest purchase you must first sign out of your eBay account, then use the order details link in the email you received from eBay regarding the guest order, or else right click on that link and open in a private or incognito browser window.
