Returns and Refunds
I purchased two chaise lounge cushions for $157.79. The cushion didn't fit my chairs. The seller said that I could return them and that it would cost approximately $30. I received an email with a return packing slip and returned the cushions. Sometime later, I received a refund of $9.57 instead of the expected amount of $137.36. In accordance with eBay's "Money Back Guarantee" and their offer to intercede with the seller to resolve the error I spent a week on the phone with customer service only to be told that the case was closed and they could not help. They claimed that the packing slip specified the return amount of $157.79. I have that email and there is no shipping amount specified. Ebay would not hold the seller to his agreement to only charge me $30 despite the fact that they had that statement from the seller in their own records.
Ebay's "Money Back Guarantee" and "Intercession" help are worthless. Don't rely on them!
