So a buyer payed me extra money so I can purchase an apple gift card but the funds are pending and they want to see the picture of the gift card and see the receipt .But I want to return it since i can not fullfill this request.

It's a very well known SCAM. Do NOT send the buyer anything and do NOT give them a picture of the gift card & receipt. If you receive a "payment receipt" from Paypal, it is fraudulent.
The buyer will not pay, it is all just a fraud.
After 4 days of non-payment have passed, cancel the transaction due to "buyer didn't pay".
