Returns
Summary: jill_sv_az is responsible for shipping an item back to a seller and expected to receive a prepaid label. However, they received a label that requires going to the post office, which is inconvenient. They are seeking advice on how to predict these label types in the future, as per the options provided by the platform's site.
I am responsible for shipping item to the seller, no problem there. I had hoped to get a prepaid label and the cost would be deducted from my return. Instead I got one which requires me to go to the post office which is a problem. In the future is there a way of telling which way that will be a head of time?
This is what eBay site shows but I really don't have a choice??
If you're paying for return shipping
If you're responsible for the return shipping costs, you can choose how to send the item back to the seller.
You can ship using an eBay label, in which case we will deduct the label cost from your refund
You can purchase a label directly from a carrier of your choice and upload it to the return

The difference between the two return methods is dependent on the reason for the return.
If you want to return because the item doesn't fit, for example, you would need to purchase the return label to put on the package.
If you received the wrong item or it arrived damaged, the Seller would send you the prepaid label.
If you're able to print a label, you could arrange for the post office to pick up the package.
