i am a seller, and sold a watch to someone..they now want a refund, and agreed to a partial refund, i was trying to hit partial refund and accidentally hit full refund.. what do i do now? i have emailed ebay and have gotten no response

-Why did the Buyer want a refund???
-The watch you listed for $ 5,300 appears to have been sold on an offer from the Buyer, so it was not sold for the full amount.
-Are you working on the phone app or on a PC via eBay's Seller Hub?
-I have sent many partial refunds via Seller Hub and do not recall ever seeing the wording for Full refund or Partial refund. Here is a screen shot of the first page on the Send refund process, it says to enter refund amount.
-Can you please provide a screen shot of the page you are using for sending refunds that has the Patial or Full refund choices? If on the phone app I am not familiar with that.

OP5 months agoit does not give me the option to see partial refund or full refund anymore..i was trying to look at both options and accidentally hit accept full refund, so now it takes me to the screen to send a label to the buyer so they can either return the item or i can send the full refund, it will not allow to post an image here as i am on a phone

Do not refund until you get the item back.

Mentor5 months ago@johnnairn78 I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, especially if this was the $5300.00 watch. eBay can not reverse the refund. All you can do is hope and pray that the buyer is honest.
#1 You will need to ask the buyer for their email address to send them a PayPal invoice
#2 You can share your PayPal email and they can send the money as friends and family or other electronic payment method such as Venmo
#3 They can snail mail you a check
This is not considered an offsite sale as the transaction has already taken place
I would suggest reducing the amount you would like the buyer to refund you as SOME of your $$ is better than none.

Mentor5 months agoIf you have agreed to issue a full refund, even accidentally, that cannot be changed. Ebay can't change it for you.
In the future, if someone received an item and wants a refund, they need to file a return request, then you can approve the request and either provide a return shipping label for the buyer to return it or you can refund the buyer without requiring they return the item.
By the way, Ebay customer service does not have an email.
