Returns
I sold a pair of Cole Haan shoes. The buyer contacted and told me that she loved the shoes but they were to wide, could she return, to which I told her she could so I started the process. I got an email from ebay regarding the return. I paid the amount ebay had on the return info. I know now that I should not have refunded until I got the shoes back; however, I had done the refund and it was to late to stop it. Then I was contacted and said she could not find the QR code and needed it to pay for the return shipping. I then told her that my return policy states that unless the item is damaged, or did not meet the quality of the description that the buyer pays the shipping cost back to the seller. I got another message this morning wanting the QR code and her money for the shipping. What do I need to do?

Mentor3 years agoAs you now know, never refund until you receive the return. You have no way to give the buyer an eBay label, and eBay will not reverse the refund or force her to return the shoes.
She obviously expects you to pay the return shipping, so you need to decide if it is worth the expense to get them back. If she can print a label, you can create one at pirateship.com and send it to her in a message. I do not think they have a QR code option.
You can ask for her email address, or you probably have her cell # on the order details - you can send her the money through zelle, Venmo, PayPal, which ever service you can agree on.
