returns
I sold a watch on Ebay for $225. I put in the ad 'no returns'. The buyer did not like the watch and complained so I gave him a full refund wiith just one condition, retrun the watch in the same condition it was received in. EBay then took it upon themselves to take $225 out of my bank account to send to the buyer-BEFORE I got my watch back. That was 4 MONTHS AGO and I still dont have my watch. So when I add the cost of the watch that I paid and add in the money that Ebay took without my permissionm I am now out almost $400. Ebay sold me a shipping labe for mel to send to the buyer, which I did, but my watch never arrived. Ebay has said that my 'case is nop closed'. **bleep**? I have used Ebay for many years and I have spent a small fortune buying from them but this is flat out theft. I have reached out to the buyer and all I get is **bleep**. 'Might Mike' is his handle. How would I pursue this other than going to small cliams court?

Since you willingly refunded your buyer instead of waiting for the buyer to return the item, you have no recourse. Ebay sellers only refund when they do not require that the buyer return the item.
The proper procedure on Ebay is that the buyer files a Return Request, seller approves the request, provides a return shipping label and waits until they receive the returned item before refunding.
