Returns
I brought a plant bulb item twice in one day for a total of $28.18. The seller combined both plant bulbs into a single sealed bag and mailed it to me. The plant bulbs are are fruit my growing zone so I returned the unopened package with a eBay prepaid label ( eBay sent 2 return labels but only 1 was needed).
the seller claims tha USPS charged her $35.15 for the package when she picked it up. The seller refuses to issue a refund. eBay issued me one half the refund minus $4.75 for shipping. Help

Mentor2 years agoSince each bulb was a separate listing, you should have used each label. Since you only used one label for the 2 bulbs, then the shipping postage was underpaid. $35.15 seems an awful lot for postage. I'm glad to hear ebay issued you a refund.

OP2 years agoI placed 2 separate orders for the same type of item. 1 bags if 7 flower bulbs and 1 bag of 5 flowering bulbs. The seller combined the two ordered and sent me 1 bag containing 12 bulbs. I received the order. I contracted eBay for a return. eBay is treating it as 2 separate orders. The issued 2 return lables. Naturally I only needed 1 return label as the seller only sent 1 package. eBay issued only issued a refund for 1 order. I now understand that eBay only issues refunds based on scanned mailing label, not on what is in the package!
The seller knows that they received the full 2 order refund but is claiming that there was $35,15 postage due in the prepaid mailing label! The package of the extremely small bulbs could’ve fit in a regular size letter envelope. This seller is not a very honest person. I have bought from over 150 different sellers on eBay over the years. All from great and honest people. My problem now is trying to contact eBay. I want to call them, but can’t find a phone number. All my emails are unanswered. But they keep sending me the same email over and over again stating for me to use the mailing label for other returned order. Do you know I can get a telephone number for eBay customer service? I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge, who is PayPal the owner of eBay lol. PayPal says two wait 15 days before filing a claim.
