Returning heavy truck equipment
I am attempting return an unused truck part weighing 160lbs. If I use the the eBay return label through FedEx, it’ll deduct $388 from my refund. Any thoughts on having this part returned for a cheaper price & how do I obtain the return address if I don’t elect to use their $388 FedEx label?

Mentor4 months agoWhy are you returning the item?
How was the item originally shipping and at what cost?
If you elect to use your own label you will be shown the return address.
At that weight, depending on the distance and size and type of package, I certainly would investigate other options.

OP4 months agoThank you for responding. The item was the wrong part is the reason for the return. As mentioned, it’s a part for a heavy truck & weighs 160lbs. It is being shipped from Virginia to Reedville, TX.
The seller shipped the item to me using a freight company (Southeastern) and the shipping was free. I reached back out to the same company for a return delivery & was advised that I was required to have an a commercial account with them to use their services.
Since I posted this in the forum, the seller provided me the return address as well as several other shipping options. My husband will reach out to a couple of those companies tomorrow to obtain a quote as time is of the essence being that we have a limited return window.
Again, thank you for your response & insight. Much appreciated.

Mentor4 months agoIf the seller sent you the "wrong" part, as opposed to you ordering the wrong one, then seller pays for and arranges the return shipping at their expense. If that is the case I hope when you opened the return request you selected "wrong" part and not "doesn't fit" for the reason.
Come back with more details of the return request you made.
