returning an item to the buyer after it has been repaired
the item arrived at the buyer but it didn't work properly. the buyer agreed to send the item back to see if i could get it repaired which i was able to do. Now i can't figure out how to return it to the buyer and Ebay seems to only care about refunding the buyer even though he still wants the item. I don't want to send it out and then have Ebay refund the buyer automatically and then i don't have the watch or the money. Any guidance and help would be much appreciated. thank you Bob Woerman

Mentor2 years agoUse the option in the dropdown next to the original order transaction to Purchase another label. Then add the tracking # to the return case with an explanation.
As long as the buyer doesn't escalate the case, you're OK, but if you want, you can contact eBay to let them know that you've sent the repaired item back to the buyer and show them the tracking # and messages between you and the buyer, and they'll provide more time before eBay steps in.
At the link below, you can request a call back from eBay by clicking Have us call you on the left side of the page. If you don't see that option, click Chat with our automated assistant. Then type "agent" at the bottom in the chat box. You'll see an option to request a call back there.

Mentor2 years ago@wayoutwatchguy if what @rfmtm posted doesn't work, refund them, relist and have them repurchase

Mentor2 years agoWhen the buyer opened the Return Request did he select refund or replacement, or didn't you have the replacement option in your return policy on the listing?
Regardless, there may still be a replacement option available for you to choose, but I haven't done one in while to remember where. Go to the return request and look. If there is, select it and wait for buyer to approve it.
