Returning an item from international location
Summary: jedz-14 is seeking advice on how to manage a return on eBay for an item shipped to Trinidad and Tobago via a freight forwarding service. Since the automated prepaid return label is not usable, they plan to ship the package back using FedEx at their own expense. They have already notified the seller and need guidance on updating tracking information in their eBay account to ensure a refund.
Since the original shipping address was a freight forwarding facility in Miami Florida (Web Source) and the item was forwarded to me in Trinidad and Tobago, the eBay automated prepaid return label won't work for shipping directly back to the seller from here.To ensure the return is prompt, I am paying out of pocket to ship the package directly to the buyer from Trinidad using FedEx. What steps within my ebay account do I need to take to ensure I am refunded? I have already messaged the seller with my intentions, and I was looking for a way to update the tracking information manually, but I do not see an option. Can someone assist me please? I have never returned any item to a seller.
