Returning an item

Hi everyone, I'm new to using eBay and had a quick question. Is it possible to return an item outside of the 3 day return window? Itâ€™s been about 5 days since delivery, and I just discovered that the item doesn't work. I'd appreciate any guidance on what my options might be. Thank you so much.

If the seller accepts buyer -remorse returns, the minimum number of days you have to open a case is 14 days. However as your item is defective, you have eBay's Money Back Guarantee which allows 30 days to request a return.

Here's what to do...

If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

@family._260 Most items have a 30 day eBay Money Back Guarantee time period.

The only items that have 3 days are trading cards and items sold as for parts or not working.

The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories AND 3 days for Trading Cards.

Here's what you need to do:

Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos.

Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.
