Returning a recalled item

I recently found an ebay message about a recall on an item I bought in December 2025. i contacted the seller twice but received no response. So today I have tried to contact ebay. Unfortunately the AI agent does not have the capacity to help me but it also refuses to connect me with a human agent. It repeatedly shows me the same few messages, and says it can't connect me with a human without information I am unable to supply. It feels like Ebay is using ai to prevent customers from getting in touch.
Anyway, I just want to know how to return an item that has been recalled because of a fire risk and to receive a refund for said item. I am not able to start a return on the item's page because I bought it about 9 months ago. I can't find a way to directly contact human life at ebay.

Mentor1 month agoManufacturers recall items so you would have to contact the manufacturer for their instructions. Sellers cannot help with this.
