Returning a purse in Japan
I purchased a purse from AVS store from Japan and in their listing it says all fees included. You will not pay anything when item is delivered to you. The courier DHL called my everyday and emailed and texted. Asking for an import fee of $237. I tried to contact the seller several times and never answered. Contacted EBay and they said it's between me and the seller. When the seller finally answered, they said since I opted for authentication, import fees are not included anymore. Where and when did this happen? I was not given a choice when I paid. I feel I was scammed!!! I disputed this charge on my credit card. DHL still kept calling and they said that the item will be returned even if I've already paid for it if I don't pay import fees. I had to pay the $237 to get my purse. When it arrived, I cannot open the purse. The push lock is wedged so much that it took us so much effort just to open this lock. Now I think this is a defect that was also not disclosed. The buyer said that they will not refund - even if the listing clearly said 30 day refund. I reached out to eBay, they told me since I disputed this on my card, they cannot interfere. What can I do? Do I just cancel my relationship with EBAY and call it a day. Or should I pursue this. HELP!!!!!
